Education & Fellowships
At the core of the MEMF-NA mission statement, is the commitment to advancing the knowledge and skills of US/Canada’s most promising Orthopaedic surgeons through fellowships in major hip reconstruction practices in Europe.
The MEMF-NA Fellowship program is focused on providing participants with first hand exposure to the techniques of hip preservation and replacement surgery through observation of cases and discussion with the teaching surgeons, as well as through the preparation of documentation, and outcome evaluation. Active participation in research is also encouraged with many fellows writing a number of well recognized papers in peer reviewed journals.
Fellows are paid a generous stipend, and are responsible for their own travel and living costs including lodging in the teaching institution’s local community.
During a 6 to 12 month fellowship period, participating candidates may choose to spend time in more than one centre. More than one centre is encouraged.
